We are excited to launch the “Penum Yacht Chef Mentor Program”. Having worked with a large number of fantastic, professional yacht chefs we understand how demanding your job can be. Crew or guests, all over the world, it can be hard to perform day in day out. Every year experinced chefs leave the industry with a wealth of knowledge and expertise that leaves with them. The goal of this informal program, is to connect established Head Chefs with: Crew Chefs, Second Chefs, Sole Chefs, Junior Chefs, Sous Chefs – all aspiring young Yacht Chefs.
At Penum, we feel lucky to be supplying Yacht provisions to talented and experienced Head Chefs who would like to share their knowledge and are keen to give back to the industry.
What can you expect in the
"Penum Yacht Chef Mentor Program”
MENTEE: The benefits for the mentee, is to gain a buddy, that’s made it, in the Yacht Chef industry. Be connected by email, and gain a contact to ask advice on “stepping up to Head Chef”, constructive menu critiques, techniques and tips and general galley questions etc.
MENTOR: The benefits of mentoring are many! Share your knowledge and help your buddy avoid those mistakes you made early on in your Yacht Chef career. Volunteering is a fantastic way to show your ability to lead and help others, above and beyond your immediate work environment. By sharing your knowledge, you are assisting a junior chef along their yachting journey. The time you can spare in mentoring is completely at your discretion.

We have limited places available at the moment, but are hopeful to expand and grow the program after this first phase.
This goodwill program has no cost, or contracts, just connecting those with knowledge, with those wanting to move on up. Enthusiastic and positive young Chefs please apply!
